March 29 Bffl?Wow, 2 blog posts in 2 days=P So I just got home from le centre ville and my kind little Ipod decided to play a song that I have not heard in a VERY long time! This was because I was stuck at Richmond station for 20 extra minutes at like 11ish! Anyways, it made me start thinking...hmm, I wonder if I am exactly the same as I was back then or I wonder how much has 'actually' changed? The short answer is NO and it is really amazing when you look back at it and see how much you have grown and learnt as a person=) Cheesy, I know but oh well and hey I had a spare 20mins=P By the way that song was 'Blind' by Lifehouse=P Significance? It was significant in my life before, but now it is just a passing memory. A small little speck that you acknowledge but look past=) Anyways, this lead me to further contemplation. When you tell someone they are your bffl or vice versa, DO NOT do it unless you really mean it because, let's face it, circumstances change and what you said before will not carry into the immediate future. Really, really, at the bottom of your heart, mean it! I don't know why I just mentioned that, guess I am just tired=P I could go into this more...NAH=P haha C'est le conseil de Nick pour ce soir;) Wow, I talk about the past too much! So FUTURE time haha! Took a much needed break tonight from work that is still bogging me down=D Headed out to the city=) Did not actually see the effects of Earth Hour much... What else? Looking forward to the Easter break coming up which will give me more of an opportunity to catch up with my good mates=) Also, handed in my application form for this volunteer thing (I wonder if I'll get it?) Nick March 28 CertaintySo I had this realization last night at about 12ish....=P Well, it was not really a realization. Just a thought or inkling or whatever. And, I like my law analogies. *Now for the boring bit* Anyways, you know when you have a contract. One of the essential elements is 'Certainty'. Now, courts will not enforce a contract between parties if the terms of a contract are not clear and certain for all parties. ie: you cannot go 'I will buy this house from you for around $300 000 to $500 000 and I might throw in something extra, as consideration, if I'm nice, but I do not know what?' Now courts have the power to SEVER a term from a contract if the contract can still function in its entirety without the term. This is just an 1/16 of Certainty. There are exceptions but we do not need to go into those! Now, if the only things you picked up were 'Sever' and 'still function', you have done a fantastic job! And you have learnt some law=P And if that made no sense to you whatsoever, just look at some status updates on facebook as 'some people' have status' that like being ambiguous ......And some people, have blogs that are partially 'ambiguous' but you can pick up their 'true' meaning. Anyways, I am off on my tangential spiral down to nothingness! Finally taking a break from all this work tonight and heading into town=D Oh and finally, 'Eh, eh, there's nothing else I can say.....'  I know no one reads this so I feel like having a rant!=P An annoyed rant=P
You know, there comes a time in your life, or multiple times, where you're like 'Why do I bother with something...?' You have to constantly and consistently ask yourself, 'Hmm, I wonder if I'm doing the right thing..?' And quite frankly, you move a step forward and it just feels like you keep getting knocked back so in the end, it essentially leaves you disheartened to do anything else or want to do anything else, even though you try. And when you end up doing something 'nice' or 'good' or even 'horrible' it ends up being 'Why am I doing this/Why do i bother...?' I now see the viewpoint that some people in the police force take. That you do something important, trying to do good, but hardly get recognised. Now in a hypothetical situation Party B would not understand no matter how much you emphasise this point. But then again, Party A 'might or might not' see the viewpoint of Party B. Or chooses to see 'other things' instead of the main thing. Or is just plain selfish? I don't know, and I'm not going to read into it! In the end, I guess you just stick with it hoping to break out of this stupid stupid cycle of doom....!! Well it is not that severe...it just a horrible cycle which likes to repeat itself CONSTANTLY... By the way, this has nothing to do about choosing Law. It's fun=) 'A Peppercorn can buy the world...' Mark Davison And yes it can, if you play your cards through 'consideration' correctly! Seriously this guy is an awesome lecturer! I haven't found anyone else as entertaining yet. Mind you my French culture person seems to be terribly interested in Prostitution in Paris in the 19th century. Today, I learnt that the lights (a symbol of the vibrance of Paris) of the street, illuminated the prostitutes so you could see them better...I'm still questioning why I am doing this subject? Anyways, I've had my rant! Moving on...Life is good! Catching up occasionally with the people who you really care about makes a massive difference. Whether they know it or not. Seriously, there is mountains of reading to be done on Consideration, Intention, Certainty and so forth but you really come to appreciate the time you get off/the times you can just let your brain wonder. Like now, hence why I wrote the first bit....because I have let my brain wonder into the abyss of thinking and that is not a good place to be..... I'm tired....so nightsky! This might be complete jargon, but if you can make sense of it, then you'll have learnt a thing about friendship lol...it's 'ex citing'!
Anyways, off to uni tomorrow! Yay, Arts on Wednesday and Law on Thursday. Bought a permit for the year so going to be driving. Yay, no more early morning 'full' Connex train rides to the city! You can tell I'm excited, since I've already written this in old blogs lol! Oh well, I'll have to deal with traffic jams this year. I also learnt today that the 631 (5mins) also goes directly there...hmmm....
So I went to visit the magistrates court last week, since we have that assignment to do, and the amount of cases involving 'theft', 'drink driving' or what not, is quite amazing. And everyone has a different story....The amount of cases a magistrate deals with quite amazing!
Although, (let's call him person A) had the plea "I thought my ex girlfriend was pregnant so I took drugs and drove to her house." For future reference..that didn't work! Actually it was just adjourned, so who knows?
What else has been happening? I'm unemployed again, yay? Although, I have saved up quite a bit to last me a while

I think I've given up on a costume. Will probably just grab the old school uniform out again and do something with it lol!I'm bound to have something to say again soon...wow, uni starts again next week! ! Even though, I didn't sleep on the plane at all..so an all nighter...don't ever do that! Not a good idea! Still going...something is keeping me going...I have no idea what??? It's called reserved battery power probably Looking forward to Thursday night tooSo what's been going on? I need news! What have I missed?
 Preferably not relating to 'that thing'....k thx. Yes, I realise there have been devastating bushfires because it was on the news over there too. But to think that some arsonist could have done is really not something good. Why would you do that? If you can shed some light...feel free!Nick
P.S: So I just got back to dinner and I am getting used to the serving sizes again
 Do not eat so much with your rellos the first time you head out with them cause they'll keep feeding you lots and lots till the end lol because they assume you eat alot cause you're from AustraliaHaha, my cousin said the funniest thing in the car..she's like 'when it comes to appearance you're 100% asian, but when it comes down to culture I don't know if it's 50/50 anymore? Is it 80/20?'...or something along those lines...so growing up here has been alot different then how they grew up. Obviously, the way Dad's bro brought up his kids were alot different than how he brought me up.
Which brings me to my next point about CHOICES! You know, it's really scary each choice you make! I'm more of a 'live for the moment' and deal with what's to come when you get there. However, the CHOICES you make in life are extremely scary! If Dad had not made that decision when I was 4, alot of things would be different now! and I mean ALOT!
And the next point is OPPORTUNITIES! We are so lucky to live here! Going back made me realise that even more! Yeah, we do have high taxes but they pay off in the end. In Malaysia, if you have no money, you'll be begging on the street and selling coupons and tissues. They won't help you at all. Well, not only there. Of course there are other countries.
I saw a 2 year old girl, about the 2nd last night, she had constant oxygen or something hooked up to her so she could survive. When you see these things, it really has an impact on you! I know by writing this down it might actually seem like nothing but when you actually see these things it really does!

So yesterday, technically I was officially a Monash and Melbourne student. Today, no more haha
Went in to Melbourne Uni in the morning in the scorching heat and handed in my withdrawel form What I did find funny was the chick behind the desk at the Arts student centre. As soon as she got my form she's like CONGRATULATIONS! And I'm like Why? lol! I'm leaving your uni... She then went on the tell me how awesome postgrad at melb was lol! Who knows, I might end up back there doing a masters in law or something...anyways, the future can wait..don't really care atm! Living in the moment Although, I can't choose b/w Majoring in Crim and minoring in french or Majoring in International Studies and Minor en Francais. I'm going to set up a dart board soon...The rest of the day was fun! We were escaping the heat lol, which was not very easy in the city! 'Meh'...Myer was alright while it lasted
We just had lunch in the city, went bowling (and yes, I did play better this time) Still came last in one game though You were lucky Lise, bloody getting a Spare and getting another chance to knock more pins over at the end!! Anyways! It was a good day...I finally got a strike which was a complete fluke lol. So no, I didn't play as crappy as when I went with Iz and others.So yes, leaving on a flight tomorrow at midnightish (technically it's sunday) but anyways. Yeah, if I haven't told you yet I

You know, I always said I wrote blogs when I'm tired so this is another one of those times! Just got back from our little Nando's celebration which went on for quite some time...
Haha, I just realised this blog is exactly like a diary...when I look back at this when I'm hmm 30 or so, I'm going to laugh
It's like 'How I met your mother'...there is heaps you can learn from that lolparticularly about _______! jokes! I already look back at some blog entries and laugh at what I wrote. 'Midori tastes like nailpolish' and 'Midori tastes like lemonade on speed' hahahaha!Anyways, this blog is about our little gathering. Had a Barbie at the boss' place which started at 9.30pm incidently. What a late time to have a BBQ! So there was food, Why not? Funnily enough, her husband bought 3 bottles of Vodka for the night which I find extremely funny. 'OMG, the bottle of vodka is gone'...Allez Ooop, another one pops up!
Unfortunately, some people had to drive (Ferdy and Me) so none for us! Anyways, it was good fun..regardless! You don't have to drink, to have fun

Enough, about that! The rest of the time was spent chatting, driving to some random's place and back, playstation 2 (soccer and tekken haha) and trying to stop someone making LOUD NOISES! Geez, I am standing right next you..you do not have to yell at me! Guess that's what alcohol does to you I'm going to end on a reflection before I collapse on my laptop! A year ago or 2 ago, I would not be writing as much as I am on this blog now b/c it would probably 'nick is concerned about...' So, I had to go into Monash Uni today. It took me 10 to 15mins from mine which is not that long, actually! So probably, on a massive traffic day, it'll probably be around 30mins! Anyways, I had to go in for a pre-enrol session where they throw information at you and expect you to absorb as much as you can. I got most of it, the important stuff. The other stuff I tuned out on.
I managed to find my way around Monash before getting there...it's alot different to Melbourne, obviously! Ended up finding a 3hour parking bay and forking out $6 lol! I'm going to see if there's an easier place to park rather than fork out on a blue parking permit. But...I am glad I do not have to take a Connex train as much as I had to last year
'This train has been delayed..Connex apologises for the inconvenience'...umm, no you don't! Will have to fork out on petrol though and my car likes to drink..... It's not that much of a concern anyways...Anyways, I have an assignment, ALREADY
 and we haven't even started the year yet Have to organise a date where I can head into the courts and organise to sit in on a case. Have to write a report on it. Hopefully, I'll find some interesting one. The family violence court looks interesting not that I'll be able to share what happens in there since it's all confidential. Although, pseudonyms work....but, I will probably end up going to the Melbourne Magistrates since I've been there before. I'll let you know if there are any interesting cases that pop up - not the family violence ones lol.Oh yeah, I'm going on Camp....again
Thankfully, this time I won't be bogged down with 'issues' from last year... and will be able to enjoy my time FULLY...boo yah! And signed up for the Peer mentor thing so that'll be good funOh, and went out to Dinner Time last night with Izi, James, Ams and me. Thanks for coming and replying..unlike some who I am not following up on anymore. It was my day off and I still got bombarded with a million nando's questions. Give me a break
Then we headed back to mine and watched Beerfest and How I met your mother + flat cookies haha. They must've been alright since there were only 2 left by the end of the night Oh, and I aparently I can cook..so that'll be handy for something or sometime lol! Finally, I won $20 in that 15 million draw haha! Ended up walking out with a 30cent profit though. That is the extent of my gambling lol. So technically, I've lost 70 cents so far gambling...$1.00 on the 1cent pokies at Crown and winning 30cents back in Tattslotto. That is the extent of maths I am willing to do haha!
Anyways, I have a mountain of stuff to organise/do so I'll be leaving you! Hope you guys are going awesomely! Trust me, I'll update you again soon because I am sure something interesting will come up!

Since everyone seems to be updating their blogs more often, I thought I would contribute to the blogging sphere and add to the technoscape around the world!
Thanks Arjun Appadurai...see..I learnt something in Globalisation last year hehe Or, it's just another one of those random things in my brain which I never forget lol!Anyways, NEWS! That's what blogs are for hey! So, i spent the whole of sunday night thinking what Monday would bring...! And then I spent monday morning and avo going hmmm..i wonder what's going to happen
! Essentially, I had 3 options which i mapped out the other night...well there were other scenarios but those were the main ones!a)Oh noes! No offer...'meh' I'm still in a BA at Melb with a Dip in French
b) Hmm...offer for Int Studies/Law at Deaks
c) Offer for Arts/Law at Monash
So guess what...for those keeping up with my Facebook status updates, I'm sure you already know! Got an offer for Arts/Law at Monash...so hmmm, should i take it?
After some helpful advice from certain ppl i think it's the best bet unless something drastically changes my mind in the next couple of days.
So..
a) I'm not going to be hearing any more Monash is better than Melbourne crap from Al at dinner time anymore b/c we'll have nothing to argue about...
quite frankly...i don't really care either way!b) I won't get asked...i counted 30 times this year, 'Oh, you live in Clayton South...why don't you go to Monash?' lol
c) It's an opportunity, so I'd be stupid not to take it!
Which brings me to my next point of ENTER scores! NOBODY CARES after a year in! I think, in the paper, you had to get 98 something to get into arts/law at monash this year. Seriously, go to the uni you really want to, do 'not bad' or 'the best you can'...i sure didn't work as hard as I did in VCE. My ex can vouch for that
and T R A N S F E R! It works And do stuff you LIKE! That's really important! And get involved...I did UPC (Unsatisfactory Progress Committee) stuff and that was good! It really opens your eyes to stuff! Et comme j'ai ecrit dans mon examen francais en annee 11 (ca nous ouvre les yeux sur le monde haha) So if any VCE person actually reads this...which i doubt, dont stress if you didn't get where you want cause you can always transfer!And i might hear you say..OMG, Nick wasted his first year at Melbourne and has to do it all over again! At the moment, I'm just like 'meh'! If i can get credit for what I did 'yay'...if i can't 'oh well'..i can do it again! Seriously, it's no biggie...not fussed at all! Although, Contract Law for 2 semesters hmmm...! How does Contract Law take 2 semesters?
And, no, I have not wasted a year because last year really helped me to decide what I really like and don't like And as for results...the highest i ever got last year was an 80 which was for Business Law haha...yellow power as Al or CVP would say!
I find that weird...maybe it was telling me something haha! Business? Noooo...lolSo, all in all..2009 is going swimmingly!
I'm still happy and it's nearly the end of January! Boo ya! I wonder what exciting thing is coming up next...looking forward to it!So yes, if you need legal advice in the near future...feel free to ask
Not all the time though haha! Might try to get 'How I met your mother' today...geez it's always sold out! That was my random comment of the day! Oh and we have 'employee of the month' at Nando's, starting from this month, for 2 free movie tickets...yay?
I'm going to try for 'disemployee' of the month but I'll probably end up gettting sacked haha...she's already fired 3 pplAnyways, if you're ever at Crown or Crown Towers, I recommend that you head to a Japanese restaurant called 'Koko's' which has tepanyaki and what not! It's expensive but you have to try it at least once!
Had to go for this small dinner party thing, to celebrate s/o turning 1 b/c it's oh so important, and it was awesome...we had like 10 courses or more...i lost count lol but it was SOO MUCH! It started with raw wagyu beef and ended with coffee lol! in the middle was random things like sea urchin and sushi/sashimi and green tea icecream and stacks more! It was awesome!
Oh, and I recommend that the moment you have MORE money than you put in, in crown, you LEAVE lol! don't put more in lol! oh well, i only lost $1 that night on the 2 cent pokies haha!
2009 is still going awesomely, its still early days (we're only umm 9 days in lol) yet but looking much better than 2008

Who isn't glad that 2008 is over? Does anyone miss it yet? Well guess what, It's 2009 *duh*...sooo...live it up!
Even if you do miss some things..keep them, hold them, but keep going...! You have a whole NEW year, a whole NEW opportunity to make 2009 'the year' to remember...so don't waste it, whatever you do! If you argue with someone...work it out and move on cause every moment that you spend thinking about what is the 'right' thing to do and what you're doing, is a moment wasted. You'll never get it back...! I learnt that.....I could probably build a yacht...anyways! There is never a 'right' thing to do...just work it out! If you're with someone, tell them you 'love them' and really mean it...! If you're not..oh well, you have 2009 or more, or more.... 363 daysish to go...thats a long time I could put s/t else here but I wont If you've always wanted to do something...do it!  Wow, funny the things I've learnt/picked up in this last year! It's nearly the end too
 and wow has it gone fast. And if I had to change one thing, I wouldn't change a thing...We've all had UPS and DOWNS, lots and lots of DOWNS haha..not just me! but we're all still alive aren't we! haha! The wheels on the bus are still going 'round and round and round'...(year 8 rostrum speech haha ) ahh the memories....It just felt like yesterday when we were coming back home from rosebud or when it was new years after our venture into the crowded city.

I've been working...ALOT! Yeah, virtually been doing 5 nights every week so my el nando's cooking skills are getting tops

Shout out to all of us who survived the semester...thanks Anne Freadman for making another fantastic semester's worth of french (if you can't read sarcasm...you are an idiot). Oh well, funny the things I remember from French (how to make a molotov cocktail....how to have a revolution) none of which will help me for "where's wally" in the exam......wow, we have to waste our time finding passages again!Oh we had cake on southlawn today for our global pol tute...and saw a lost possum with a baby with it...how random!

Anyhoo, went to visit Deaks again (Deaks=Deakin) on Thursday to 'visit'...no, I had to go there for 1 reason and 1 reason only.....ah well....long story (well not really)....It was a nice day anyhoo and I don't think I could drive to deaks everyday if I ended up going there next year
It takes 30mins from mine lol! not taking into account traffic or anything....Well, if only Melbourne uni lines were that short to get tix to stuff...there was no one there so just went to grab em! Familiarised myself with the surroundings...I know where building P and the library is
That was my adventure to Deakin....

September 24 My life in the ocean=PI didn't know what to name this blog..quite obviously
I just know I don't update it is as much anymore....I guess I've been 'busy' like some would say (or say alot.....)
What's been going on? If anyone cares? hmmmm?
Well, since 'Glow in the Snow', not much really...! *pft* didn't i use to say that all the time...'what did you do on the weekend?'...'nothing..' 'fun....' Oh, there was that day where we went iceskating and other random things which I'm going to throw into this blog (like throwing things on superpoke).
Ice Skating
Yes, you did miss out if you weren't there...especially to 2 ppl who never replied...bastards! Haha, I used to write a blog about what I did each day. Anyhoo, for iceskating Jenn and Soph rocked up at mine before. Gave the grand tour of my house lol! Said 'Hi' to Lassie who loves meeting new people! Quite obviously
She is trained to stay away when 'The Gate' is open hehe After that we headed out to Safeway way...didn't choose to eat at the fancy fish and chip shop with marble benches..next time Instead, we went to the chicken and chippies shopThen we headed over to Olympic Iceskating and met James up there. What happened next WELL, some people are able to glide gracefully on the snow, whilst others can't....comme moi, have to get into the 'rhythm' and try to keep away from mr wall! Give me a break, it was my 2nd time after France.....and even in France I had someone help me by dragging me around the ring
Photos...look at them...i can't believe I still have photo's from france up lol!Anyhoo, it was fun and falling over doesn't actually hurt that much...except for iceburn. Fell over twice which was the most out of everyone there...ah well. 2nd time soph pushed me off balance...excuses excuses lol! soph actually didn't fall once.
Anyhoo, next extreme sport we're organising for us to do is either 'Surfin with Sof' or 'Rock climbing'
I think there were also suggestions of bungee jumping or flying a plane lol! I never got my pilots license thing after year 9 lol...maybe i should've!Then just headed back to mine and caught 'Goldeneye' which went till the early hours of the morning. Gotta love late late movies when ure falling asleep lol!

Hmmm....Catch up sess' with Lise on Thursday have been fun over at uni
We've been trying/sampling different shops. Not the cheapest option but ca marche! BRING LUNCH TO UNI...you save a hell of alot.... It all started with that 'Oh, let's go out for chocolate day'
So we headed over to Koko Black, which is expensive but has GOOD chocolate! Anyways, not going to mention the choco high after....Anyhoo the week after, we decided to go for Gelato goodness the week after over at Lygon. That gelato place is recommended to everyone. Can't come up with a name but i'll check next time
What followed was a gelato high.... $5 for 2 scoops...not too bad! And they're not tiny either! Then finally, the week after that we decided to top it all off with a combo of choco and gelato's haha
You can imagine what happened after that! We went to Brenna...Chocolate licks are good (pure melted chocolately goodness)...then over to that gelato place outside melbourne central! Never have GREEN TEA GELATO..no taste when it hits your mouth then strong after taste....very strong...I find it funny how i can remember all this whilst blocking out other things....
I've learnt haha....BLOCK the bad things dammit!Woo for the subtle blog messages. Just like Wall-E which i watched today haha! Yes, it's a giant message about global warming and people being obese in the future! You cannot blame gravity dammit!
Anyhoo (yes, i say 'anyhoo' alot) It's 12.51am and I'm still going.

August 26 The blog which is ma vie=PHeyo everyone, I'm sitting in Dad's work doing absolutely nothing before this dinner thing so I thought I would update this 'neglected' blog At least it's not been asseessed like my Globalisation blog...
